Sometimes love shows up exactly when—and how—you least expect it.

We met in May of 2023 on Tinder… thanks to Roman’s Super Like (yes, it worked). What started as a match quickly turned into something neither of us could ignore. After exchanging messages, Brooklyn mentioned she would be getting off work at 4:30 a.m. and driving three hours to Crossville, Tennessee. Roman didn’t hesitate—he set an alarm, woke up early, and called her so they could talk during the drive. That first phone call lasted for hours—so long that even after Brooklyn arrived, she stayed parked just to keep talking.

That call quickly became our daily routine. Roman woke up early every morning to call Brooklyn as soon as she got off work, and they would talk until he went into work and she finally went to sleep. In those early morning conversations, we talked about life plans, morals, values, and dreams—and realized we fit together like puzzle pieces. From the very beginning, we just knew.

When it came time to propose, Roman chose a place that had already become meaningful to us—an aquarium date. While we had visited other aquariums before, this was our very first trip together to the Atlanta Aquarium. After spending the day exploring the exhibits, Roman asked Brooklyn what she wanted to see one last time before leaving. Her answer was easy: the sharks. Completely captivated by the giant tank, Brooklyn didn’t notice Roman trying to get her attention—so he had to get a little creative to get her to turn around. Right there, in front of the sharks, he asked her to marry him. He was so nervous (even though he knew the answer would be yes) that he accidentally broke the ring box—you can hear it snap in our engagement video.

From early morning phone calls to unforgettable moments in front of a shark tank, our love has always been rooted in effort, intention, laughter, and choosing each other every day. We are so excited to step into this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.

We can’t wait to celebrate a love that started with a simple “Super Like” and grew into a life we’re building together.
